A group of Belgian graphic design students spent two weeks in Raahe in March 2026. Read about their experiences!

Hello, we are Bradley and Mohammad (Wolf) from Belgium, from the Ensor Institute. We had a wonderful experience here in Raahe. The people were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were really able to release our stress and enjoy the peace and the beautiful nature here.

We are very grateful that we could experience this, because it was truly worth it! We would also like to sincerely thank the cleaning lady, Maili, for everything she has done for us.

Hi, I’m Charlotte from Belgium, and I’m an exchange student from Ensorinstituut.

When I first arrived in Raahe, I was really surprised by the amount of snow! I love the different colored houses and the unique atmosphere here. Over the past two weeks, we’ve visited many places, made campfires, and enjoyed delicious food together.

I also really like using the drawing tablets at school because it’s something new and different for me. One of my favorite experiences was sledging over the ice and walking on it—it was amazing!

I would like to thank Maili for all the wonderful places she has taken us to and for the amazing food she shared with us. I also want to thank the teachers for taking such good care of us.
